Plan Ahead

Choosing a final resting place requires you to make very personal decisions.

“Do I choose a full body burial, a cremation interment? Do I want a large headstone or a small one? Will the children want to be near us someday and should we plan for that? What about our parents?”

And that’s just a start.

The first step is to talk with the people who matter to you. Your spouse, partner, parents, or children. Not everyone may be comfortable with the discussion, but reaching an understanding before the time of need will make navigating a loss much easier.

Depending on what arrangements you want, the second step may be to work with a licensed funeral home to make a plan.

At Erie Cemetery Association, we will help you select grave space, and work with you on a payment plan; a licensed funeral home will assist you in an overall plan, and suggest ways to make it affordable.
