  • Tours and most Events are held rain or shine; any exceptions to this are noted in the Event Description.
  • Tours are $12.00 per adult. Special evening tours / special events have different pricing as noted within tour description
  • Reserve a space and pay in advance by calling 814/459-2463, or visit the Cemetery Office.
  • ALL TOURS Meet inside the entrance to Erie Cemetery at 2116 Chestnut St.

NEW! Firefly Tour

Free! This special tour is designed for children 2-7 and their parents, to give an introduction to cemeteries and show they are beautiful, interesting places. Children will walk on a short guided scavenger hunt, take a moment to hear a story and then make a craft picture. A special gift will be provided to the first 50 children who attend.

The meanings of shapes and symbols of headstones

When you read an old headstone, do you ever wonder what the design elements of the stone can tell you about the person interred there? Join us for a walking tour in Erie Cemetery looking at the shapes, designs and symbols on the headstones, and learn what they mean.

Ghosts & Legends Tour - UPDATED

Join us on this walk through the Erie Cemetery and learn the ghostly stories of those long deceased. What mausoleum has been opened unlawfully, and by whom? Is there really a vampire lurking in the shadows? Learn about these and other tales from the vaults at Erie Cemetery.
