Adopt an Urn/Cradle Grave/Gravesite Kick-Off

Volunteer to plant flowers in an abandoned flower urn (Erie Cemetery only) or an uncared-for gravesite in Laurel Hill or Wintergreen Gorge Cemeteries.  Larger spaces are available for adoption at Wintergreen Gorge and Laurel Hill. You purchase the annuals, plant, then maintain during the growing season.  You are welcome to do historical research on the people buried in the lot and clean the gravestones (training and supplies provided by ECA at a later date). You will be a part of the constant beautification efforts of ECA cemeteries and can choose to showcase your work in a digital urn/gravesite tour (new this year!) and be invited to our volunteer appreciation picnic held in September in Erie Cemetery. Recognition given during the growing season as well!
